Jatiluwih Photo

Some people ask me where I took the photo of the banner of this blog. As you can see there, it's a photo of rice teraces. I took this photo several months ago in Jatiluwih on harvesting time. There smokes flying on the air since after harvest, the Balinese farmers burn the remain of the rice plants.
Ok, that's a quick post. I am at Jatiluwih now in the car waiting for my clients who are still busy taking photos.

  1. It's hard to imagine that these rice fields are made by hand. They were created in this way because land became scarce and the Balinese were urged to divide land into several patches of land leading into a close organization among the farmers called the "subak".

Once you enter the Jatiluwih area you have to pay a small entrance fee and continue to drive to see what looks like a painting...Nice View !
